The TSDS ECDS PK workshop includes how to use OnDataSuite/OnPoint to review the ECDS PK data and covers the following topics:
- Loading the SIS/Test Vendor xml interchange files
- Reviewing TSDS Business Rules ( edits)
- Reviewing Student Data
- Reviewing Staff Data
2.File Center
TSDS ECDS
Browse to the following xml interchange files for TSDS ECDS PK.
NOTE: They need to be all loaded at the same time either zipped or unzipped.
Student Information System(SIS): (extracted from state reporting)
1. Interchange Education Organization Extension
2. Interchange Master Schedule Extension
3. Interchange Student Parent Extension
4. Interchange Student Enrollment
5. Interchange Staff Association Extension
6. Interchange Student Program Extension
Assessment Vendor: (xml interchange files)

NOTE: Summer PEIMS Submission is no longer used for the ECDS submissions.
- Above the green “Start Upload” bar, feel free to click on the manual link to review upload procedure.
- Ensure correct Year and Submission is selected from drop down, then start upload.
- Once file has completed the upload process, click on the ECDS PK row for 20 -21 to open.
- Note the interchanges loaded/not loaded. (Batch list is at the bottom right= 8 files.)
3.TSDS Business Rules (edits)
Located on Blue menu bar.
Use navigation box on left ( black) to locate ECDS – PK.
Fatals/Warnings/Specials – numerator is a live link to drill down to the number of business rules triggered.
Excel All Details to see ALL the Business Rule Details for the type of edit ( ei…fatals) selected.
Select the Business Rule link to see the details for each incident that this rule was triggered. (30040-000C = 1 Edit Count)
4.Student Report Center - Adhoc

PEIMS Student Report Center (left) – build adhoc queries
- Select ECDS PK / Year 20-21 (opt)
- Criteria Options
- Administration Date
- Assessment Reporting Method – (Conditional Mandatory)
- Campus ID
- Class ID Number
- Class Period
- Course Sequence Code
- Ethnicity/Race
- Limited English Proficiency

Drill down on totals to see student lists on each report above:
Use “Column Options” to add additional columns to reports: (Add Column)

- Select “ECDS PK” category

NOTE: Use ‘Column Options‘ to review additional data from the Teacher Class Assignment category:
- Class ID Number
- Assign Begin date

NOTE: Use “Grouping” to force separate rows for each class
