1.Extract & Load Summer PEIMS
Load the ALL the Summer PEIMS xml files from Student Information System
- In the File Center/Data Sources tab ( see screen shot below), locate the blue TSDS- PEIMS box. (Steps 1-3)
- Use green “Upload” tab to browse to the Summer PEIMS xml interchange files. (Step 5) If needed, click on blue “Attention” link to view additional file loading instructions. (Step 4)
- NOTE: Do not load just the 3 xmls for Crisis Code. Pull all, or as much as, the Summer PEIMS data as your SIS will allow.
- When files are inserted, insure the following
- Year = 2020-21
- Submission =Summer
- Prelim= “check”
- Reporting Period = The six week attendance period for this data…ie… 4th = 4th six weeks.
- Process = “Load data”
2.Review Crisis Codes
TEA will be collecting Economic Disadvantaged Codes as well as the LEP Indicator on the students via Crisis Code Submission. Use “criteria” options discussed below ( in red) to review these areas.
Locate the Student tab- Blue menu bar
Use the Student Report Center to create the following report- left side
- Select “Summer Enrollment”
- Filter year for “2020-21” – right side
- NOTE: If year is not available, the Summer PEIMS file for 2020-21 is not loaded in file center)
- Locate Criteria 1 box – bottom left.
- Type in, or scroll down to add, “Crisis Impact Code“
Create Report
- Ensure counts for codes 1A, 1B, and 1C are correct.
- Drill down on the count to view student list.
Any corrections must be made in the source- Student Information System, then re extract the Summer PEIMS interchange files to re upload into OnDataSuite file center.
OPTION to add criteria:
- Criteria 2= “Eco Dis” or “LEP”
- Criteria 3 = “Grade” or “Campus”
