PEIMS ECDS Reporting

1.Introduction #

PEIMS ECDS Reporting is based on PEIMS Summer Records
Ensure that the following interchanges have been loaded into the File Center to get the most out of ECDS reporting:

  • Interchange Student
  • Interchange Student Enrollment
  • Interchange Staff Association

 

2.PEIMS Student ECDS Reporting #

Student Tab

PEIMS Student Report Center

  • Select Summer PEIMS>Student Section Association
  • Choose desired year(s)
  • Select Criteria
    • Criteria 1: Grade
      • Filter on PK and KG
    • Criteria 2: Classroom Link – Service ID
      • Filter on Search: Kinder (be sure to click all the check boxes)
    • Criteria 3: Course Completion Indicator
      • Filter on 1-Course Completed
  • Click ‘Create Report’ button to view results

  • Other criteria that can be used:

For Grade Level KG only:

  • Homeroom Indicator – E1440

For Grade Level PK only:

  • High Quality PK Program Indicator – E1580
  • PK- Curricula- E1579 (05 most common)
  • PK School Type – E1555
  • Student Instruction – E1558
  • Drill down on totals to see student lists on each report above:

Use ‘Column Options’ to review additional data:

  • For KG
    • Summer Enrollment
      • LEP
  • For PK
    • Summer Enrollment
      • LEP
      • SPED
      • Economic Disadvantage (be sure to choose summer submission dropdown) 
    • Attendance
      • Primary PK Funding Source Code
      • Secondary PK Funding Source Code

NOTE: Save reports created by using bookmarks.

Save added columns using Column Set – new feature under Column Options

  • After columns are added, click all desired elements under the ‘Save’ column
  • Click ‘Save Column set’
    • Change Title if desired
    • Click ‘Save Years’ to save the year (if not checked, will use most recent year loaded)
    • Click ‘Save Code Display Type’ to save the display types (Code, Description, Code-Description)
    • Click ‘Save’

To add columns to an ad hoc query:

  • Click on ‘Column Options’
    • Click on ‘Load Column Set’
    • Select a saved column group using the drop-down
    • Click on ‘Load’
    • Columns will display on the report

 

3.PEIMS Staff ECDS Reporting #

Staff Tab

PEIMS Staff Report Center

  • Select Teacher Class Assignment
  • Choose desired year(s)
  • Select Criteria
    • Criteria 1: Service ID
      • Filter on Search: Kinder (be sure to click all the check boxes)
  • Click ‘Create Report’ button to view results

Drill down on the count to see the list of teacher/aids:

Use ‘Column Options’ to review additional data from the Teacher Class Assignment category:

  • Role ID – Teachers or PK Aides
  • Class Role
  • Class ID Number (Grouping to force separate rows for each class)
  • Assign Begin date
  • Assign End date

NOTE: Save reports created by using bookmarks.

Save added columns using column set – new feature under Column Options

PK Teacher Requirement  – Required if participating in the High Quality Pre-K Program

PEIMS Staff Report Center

  • Select Staff
  • Choose desired year(s)
  • Select Criteria
    • Criteria 1: Submission
      • Filter on 3 for Summer Submission
    • Criteria 2: Role ID
      • Filter for 087 to eliminate aides
    • Criteria 2: PK Teacher Requirement – E1581

Drill down on counts to view teachers.

4.ECDS Student Class List - Report #

This report provides a listing of PK and KG students along with the class ids, service ids, and teachers for PEIMS ECDS reporting.

Support>Pre-Release Reports

Only:

  • Grade levels PK and KG
  • Completed courses
  • PK and KG service ids

Default view, separate row for every class:

Click on ‘Column Options’ and remove ‘Grouping’ checkbox from Class ID Number to see a separate row for each teacher a student has:

Go to ‘Column Options’ and remove ‘Grouping’ checkbox from TX Unique<br/>Staff ID to see a single line per student with classes and teachers ‘wrapped around’:
