1.How to register for OnDataSuite Workshops #

Please register for any session relevant to you, by logging into your OnDataSuite Account and using the “Support” tab / “Training” sub tab.

 

 

  • Each Webex training session will be recorded and posted, along with the handouts, within the OnDataSuite system.

Location: “Support” tab / “Training” /” Past Training”.

  • The sessions will last between 30-min and 1 hour.
  • Most sessions will end with a “What’s New” in OnDataSuite, to help keep you updated. NEW!
  • Sessions will allow for interaction to discuss best practices, as well as Q and A. (We want to hear how you are using the system.) NEW!

3.WebEx Audio Instructions #

Connecting to WebEx from Email Link

If you are having audio issues connecting to our WebEx please perform the following steps to call into the WebEx.

Step 1. Locate the WebEx invitation in your email inbox and click on the green “Join Meeting” button

Step 2. After you have logged into the meeting you will see a screen similar to the image below. Click on the “I Will Call In” icon

If you are already logged in and need to locate the information to access the Audio settings via phone line, perform the following steps to call into the WebEx.

OnDataSuite® New User Training
Focus of this workshop is basic navigation and functionality of OnPoint, including discussions of data sources, locating reports, and creating adhoc queries. Session is intended for users who are new to OnDataSuite and OnPoint, or just need a refresher.

Focus of this workshop is a detailed discussion of system and report functionalities. This will include investigating various criteria, report building, focus lists, adding/modifying columns and the use of the custom report builder.  Session is intended for users who have prior experience using OnPoint.

Using OnPar®

Focus of this workshop will be a discussion of comparing the district’s TAPR, and other TEA publicly released data, to other districts and campuses in the state. This will include a review of the type of data available (Assessment/PEIMS) for district and campus report building. A review of how to build peer groups and suggestions for best practices will be included. Session is intended for district and campus administrators interested in comparing district data to other Texas peer districts.

5.Administrative Training Sessions #

OnDataSuite® Training for Administrative Functions

Focus of workshop is discussion of the administrative functions in OnPoint. The management of user accounts for the district (or ESC) will be covered in one session, and the file loading process in another session. The ability to set student expectation goals will be covered at the sessions related to the student areas.

OnDataSuite® Principal’s Academy

OnDataSuite Principal/Assistant Principal Academy returns with six brief sessions focused on a specific topic for each week, designed to “put the campus data into action”.

    OnPoint Attendance Reports – Focus of this workshop is to review campus attendance data and trends per six weeks using a proactive approach to maximize funding.

    OnPoint Assessment Review – Focus of this workshop is using OnPoint for viewing campus assessment data and trends.

    OnPoint Discipline Reports – Focus of this workshop is viewing campus discipline data, its trends and how it is affecting accountability/ PBMAS/DVM.

7.PEIMS Training Sessions #

OnDataSuite® Fall PEIMS Data Review 

Focus of this workshop is the Fall PEIMS data submission. Workshop will include discussion of snap shot count verification, special population coding, and leaver data for students. There will be a separate workshop to focus on Staff and Finance data. We will locate custom reports to review fall data, as well as, create adhoc reports. Lastly, Accountability reports, which use Fall PEIMS data, will be discussed in a separate session. Workshops are intended for district / campus/ ESC PEIMS personnel.  Requires loading fall PEIMS data file(s). (Preliminary files welcome.)

OnDataSuite® Summer PEIMS Data Review

Focus of this workshop is the Summer PEIMS data submission. Workshop will include discussion of TEA Student Attendance Audit Queries, the location of custom reports to review Summer PEIMS data, and creating adhoc reports to audit the data before it is sent to TEA.  Accountability reports, which use Summer PEIMS data, will be discussed, in a separate session.  Workshop is intended for district/campus/ESC PEIMS personnel.  Requires loading Summer PEIMS data file(s). (Preliminary files welcome.)

Workshop will include a review of custom reports to used analyze the data, and creating adhoc reports to audit the data.  Workshop is intended for district/campus/ESC PEIMS personnel.  Requires loading Mid-Year PEIMS data file(s). (Preliminary files welcome.)

8.Special Populations and Specific Topics #

OnDataSuite® Leavers Data Review (At Risk/ Recovery)

Focus of these workshops will be the review of the TEA Cohort and PEIMS data to discover leavers and prevent dropouts. Detailed discussions will include the Completion/Dropout/Graduation Report and PBMAS/DVM indicators pertaining to leaver, dropout and graduation rates. Suggested methods of utilizing the data and best practices to recover students will also be discussed.   Session is intended for district/campus staff responsible for at risk populations, leavers and/or dropout recovery.

OnDataSuite® Maximizing Funding and Attendance Data Review

This workshop will assist in ensuring accurate coding of student attendance, as stated in the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook. An emphasis on maximizing funding will be a focus, by reviewing data to be reported in PEIMS, which results in FSP and other TEA funding allocations. We will review custom reports, build adhoc reports and check dashboard data for attendance anomalies and discuss best practices. Session is intended for district/campus personnel responsible for attendance reporting and review.

Focus of this workshop will be on PEIMS discipline data. Specifics include discussion of the discipline related audit reports, use of custom reports, PBMAS reports, and ad hoc report building, as well as setting student expectation goals. Session is intended for district/campus staff responsible for coding and reporting discipline data.

OnDataSuite® Special Education Data Review

Focus of workshop will be on PEIMS and assessment data pertaining to the special education student population. Specifics include discussion of the Fall and Summer PEIMS special education data elements and related custom reports. Accountability reports, including PBMAS, pertaining to the S.E.student population will also be reviewed.  Session is intended for district staff responsible for students receiving special education services.

OnDataSuite® Bilingual/ESL Data Review

Focus of this workshop will be the review of Bilingual/ESL student population data. Specifics include discussion of Custom Reports such as LEP Services Survey Report, Bilingual/ESL ADA Report, and PBMAS Accountability reports pertaining to Bill/ESL. Adhoc reports will be built for Bil/ESL data, as well.  Session is intended for district staff responsible for student populations receiving Bil/ESL services.

Focus of this workshop will be on PEIMS CTE (Career Technology Education) data and assessment data pertaining to the student population receiving CTE services. Specifics include discussion of the CTE related audit reports, FTE reports, contact hour reports, CTE course completion records and other CTE coding. Session is intended for district/campus staff responsible for student populations receiving CTE services.

Focus of this workshop will be on the review of financial data.  Specific custom reports will be discussed, along with adhoc reporting capabilities for internal auditing and historical data comparison. Financial Accountability and OnPar will also be included. Session is intended for district staff responsible for staff and financial business functions.

9.Accountability Training Sessions #

OnDataSuite® Performance Based Analysis System (PBMAS) Reporting

Focus of this workshop will be on PBMAS reporting capabilities through OnPoint. Specifics include discussion of PBMAS summary by program area as well as by individual indicator level. Attendees will learn how to find failures who contributed to staging by drilling down to the student level by staged indicator values and create targeted intervention lists based on their findings. This session is designed for district/campus personnel responsible for the reviewing and reporting of PBMAS data.

Focus of this workshop will be State Performance Index, with a review of Performance Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS). Session is intended for district staff responsible for the research and reporting of State accountability data.

Focus of this workshop will cover STAAR data file upload and reporting procedures. Specifics include discussion of the STAAR Grades 3-8 custom reports, and ad hoc report building using STAAR data files. Session is intended for district staff responsible for reviewing and reporting STAAR Grades 3-8 data results by various categories. This session is designed for district/campus Testing and Assessment personnel responsible for the reviewing and reporting of STAAR data.
